'Yes Aunty, I like living in Australia' is a visual conversation depicting aspects of the migration of youth from Sri Lanka to Australia. The photographs highlight the individual's strong connection to water and the oceans that separate and unite both lands. Many young people voyage across these vast oceans with often only a few items in a suitcase. Years of becoming their own individual, treasured belongings and many loved ones are left behind in the search of a 'better life'. But what does this mean when you leave behind everything you have known? What does it mean when you go back home and someone asks you if you are happy?
